Energy Dashboard

eWeLink officially released a new feature–Energy dashboard, which allows you to view the energy consumption of the compatible SONOFF devices(like DIY smart switches, smart plugs…) and helps better manage electricity usage, improve energy efficiency, and contribute to energy-saving.

Why Energy Dashboard?

Obviously, the electricity bill doesn’t let you know how much electricity your appliances are using, or which appliances are wasting electricity. That’s why using an energy dashboard makes practical sense, especially at a time of global energy stress and rising electricity prices.

With the help of an energy dashboard, you can track the power consumption of a single devices, group of devices, or an entire home on the panel any time, and compare your weekly and monthly power usage data. The Ranking allows you to understand which top 5 devices consume the most energy. And you can take timely action based on the Ranking. The energy dashboard meets your expectation of tracking and optimizing home electricity.

Energy Saving Tips

Some tips that help you to save energy.

Power off your energy-hogging appliances when they're not in use

Do you often forget to unplug the TV, coffee maker, or charger, making them in standby mode the all day? According to the Energy Savings Trust, you can save about £35 per year by not leaving your appliances in standby mode when you’re not using them. Try connecting the S40 smart plug to your TV, humidifier, or water heater. You can track overall power consumption through the energy dashboard and control them from anywhere with your phone to save energy, or you can set a schedule to turn them off to reduce energy waste from forgetfulness.

Take action in time to save energy

Smart switches with power monitoring and energy dashboard feature in the eWeLink app can help you to find out which specific devices are consuming energy, when, and how much power, and you will get alerted when the weekly/monthly target is reached, so you can take action right away. When your weekly goal exceeds 130kwh, you will get notified, so you can. You can turn on the fan instead of the air conditioner; Turn off the lights, and open the curtains to reduce electricity bills.

Smart Scene Control Panel, make save energy more easily

Alternatively, automation through NSPanel Pro makes it easier to conserve energy. You can create a smart scene in the NSPanel Pro that groups together actions, so you don’t have to remember them individually, for example, enable the Away Mode you set to automatically turn off the lights, lower the temp on your thermostat, power off the TV and more when you go out. Besides, you can also check the power consumption of a single device or entire home on the panel at any time.
