I ordered 3 units before and they are working smoothly after receiving a few updates. And I ordered 4 more pieces, they arrived quickly without any problems, I think I will add 3 more pieces to them. I recommend the product, I use it by installing automation on the temperature sensors in my room and the results are excellent.

I used TRV with iHost and separate room temperature sensors and works well
I recommend this TRV , but only with external temperature sensors. I cannot upgrade firmware sensor by iHost. I hope you solve this problem. Now I using 1.1.1 firmware version, but I know there is new firmware version

They lied in review reply to barely compatible with home assistant

Itead responded to my previous review where home assistant and zha doesn’t support other features of the thermostat. This is a lie. Other TRVs (and TRVs as a category)are fully supported in ZHA and home assistant. Additionally manufacturers can add their own manufacturer specific features to ZHA via the quirk (driver) for their product. I suggest itead/sonoff work with home assistant to bring full functionality of their product to a system they advertise as fully working with.

This product is barely compatible with home assistant do not buy. They can make it much more compatible, but choose not to.

Can just repeat previous comments: good product for the price.
PROS: quality is nice, various adapters are provided, installation is fast (if you have a tiny sense of mechanics), feature set is adequate (and hopefully, will be enhanced), paired with Bridge Pro easy, the display can be flipped (yay!).
LOOKING FORWARD TO: smoother temp keeping hysterisis and possibility to use external thermal sensor.

Thermostat drops from zigbee network

Hello, I bought 3 of these valves and I think there is a problem with one of them. It constantly breaks and I need to reset and install the thermostat from the beginning. Why is the problem? Can you help me with this? I am using SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle with Zigbee2MQTT via HA. The dongle distance of the thermostat is around 3 meters. Can you give me information about this issue? I have untimely disconnections and my children's room is getting cold. I wanted to order 3 more pieces from you, but when there was a problem with one of the three pieces, I got worried and could not place the order.

I already knew that every TRV have errors reading the temperature. Being so close to the radiator it's very difficult or quite imposible to compensate, in order to read the correct room temperature.
I used TRV with Home Assistant and separate room temperature sensors and works well
I recommend this TRV , but with external temperature sensors.

Great value and quality but...

Product is simple to use, easy to connect to Sonoff Zigbee Bridge-Pro and works as designed without any issue. Now comes the BUT 🙂

First problem is that temperature sensor is in the valve, so it reaches desired temperature faster than room because it located near radiator, so there is a need for increase temperature on valve to get desired tempreature in room.

Another problem is that the valve only has two states, on or off, on a normal manual valve you have mostly five intermediate states. Then you can warm up the room a little and thus avoid a big difference in temperature next to the radiator and the rest of the room, which is sometimes not very comfortable. I think this can be addressed through software, because this is only position of the pin, nothing more.

And thirdly, it would be convenient if you could define the delta temperature to which the valve responds, say half a degree. Let's say if you define a temperature of 21 degrees, that said temperature balances between 20.8 and 21.3 degrees.
I think that the mentioned things can be solved through the application, but it is questionable whether the development team will deal with it.

But I think it's a general problem of all smart valves, and it's not exclusively related to Sonoff valves, but unfortunately I don't own other valves, so I can't personally confirm, I'm just guessing.
