SONOFF Zigbee Human Presence Sensor | SNZB-06P

After a few hours of configuring it, it stops working, I have to reset it for it to work, and sometimes it does not detect the presence

Works Ok but if you are not 100% on eWelink and need to use it mixed with other sensors and switches (eg running tuya) usability and performance is limited and y feel it slow.

Tried 2 so far one working, one isn't. Is that the way it is?

Good: Pretty reliably and accurately detects presence in a space to my needs. Good price, good fulfillment. Very low false negative rate. Low false positive rate.

Note: does not come with an AC wall adapter. This may be an annoyance, or it may be good cost savings, depending on your needs.

Bad: I have had some minor annoyances with this device. The signed implementation seems a bit off. I experience inconsistent delays in the occupancy detection. I would approximate, at the low end, 0.2s, typical 0.5s, and occasionally multiple seconds.

Overall: it gets the job done for low cost. The low cost comes with some reasonable drawbacks. Whether those are a dealbreaker is up to you.

Not very happy with this i bought 2 and they freeze often in either person detected or no one detected

Hello Sonoff Team,

I just purchase 3 pcs SNZB-06P (firmware 1.0.6). The problem is that your products sometimes detects in the daylights quickly and in the night it takes 4 seconds for all 3 pcs SNZB-06P. I read on forums that issue is only with Bridge Pro and Ultra and other users has same problems. When you will come with a new firmware to fix the issues?

Sometimes it triggers the action with a couple of seconds of delay, but it's a good choice for the price

These sensors work well but you need to understand the following to make sure they are suitable.

1) Because they are actively sending out signals they will detect anything in the room even something behind the sensor. The signal bounces off of most hard surfaces and through walls.

2) The distance the device will detect is about 15 feet. This is good and bad depending on your room you are using it in. If your room is large it might not work well as you may be in the room but too far away. I have one in my garage and it turns off the lights. As the garage is too big of area when I’m at the far end it will turn off the lights while I’m still in there. If there is something behind the wall that is close it will sense this as well. Pick you locations carefully for the intended purpose. I do wish they had a greater range and the option to configure how far they send the signal, I’d like to go out to 50’ or so.

3) Sunlight seems to cause the device some trouble as I’ve noticed that in rooms that get lots of sunlight they are slow to react or get false positives. Same room at night the same devices are much more accurate and responsive.

4) They are Zigbee routers as they are powered from mains. This is great as it helps make a zigbee mesh network stronger.

5) I wish they were waterproof so you could use them outside or in damp locations.

Yea at some point I’ll be purchasing more as the price is reasonable and they work well in the right rooms.
