How to install and run Add-ons on iHost

Preparation

1. Insert a TF card(above 64G recommend) to the hardware (iHost). 2. Click “Format” to erase all data in the TF card. 3. After “Formatted successfully”, you can install add-ons.

Installation

1. Navigate to ‘Docker’ (add-on) menu, tap the ‘+’ button on upper right 2. Search for the add-on and choose the add-on 3. Tap ‘Add’ and install

Run the Add-on

1. Tap ‘RUN’ to open settings 2. Select a network type, fill in other settings (refer to the guide/document of the add-on) 3. Tap ‘RUN’ to run the add-on

The above Add-ons don’t meet your needs and you wish to develop by yourself for your iHost? Okay, eWeLink CUBE offers a set of open APIs, allowing other third-party devices and systems to communicate and integrate with eWeLink CUBE easily within the local network.

This set of APIs is based on the HTTP protocol and provides the following capabilities:
1.Query the list of devices and get their status;
2.Manage and control devices;
3.Register/add new devices to the system’s device list;
4.Provide hardware function mapping for some gateway devices (such as speaker, button, LED indicator, etc.)
Most eWeLink Cube Add-ons can be developed based on these APIs to expand the system’s capabilities.
