SONOFF TX Ultimate Smart Touch Wall Switch

You can't control the LEDs from Google home or Home Assistant. Also you can't control the gestures from those platforms neither. It's a nice product with great functionalities but, until you make those features available from home Assistant there is no point to buy one of this.

This product has a really nice design and features. If you could add a meter to it, it would be even better. The buildup material is very nice, and the features are great. Could you also add Matter protocol to the Apple HomeKit to have more integration?

Had these TX Ultimates installed now for months and are working great. Some people complained about the touch not working properly but we have had no issues they work great and are sensitive to the touch. Tap and the light switch toggles.

Have them integrated with home assistant for local control which works well to toggle switches, the backlight and set the backlight colour.

Swipe left / right whilst this uses the cloud does add more automation options.

I would like sonoff to do an offical lan mode integration for it though that exposes all the features of the light. Because it could also be a doorbell ringer or an alarm speaker! You can trigger these from the ewelink app but not fully locally unfortunately.

I bought device in order to use as switch for my house's roller. Travel Calibration functions need improvement as I can understand it count the time that roller need to close in order calculate percentage but when the roller opens needs more time for the motor the roller.
As a result some time the roller does not open fully or the percentage does not corresponds to the real situation.

I bought the device in Italy from China. No problem with ewelink but poor results with Alexa in italian. It took me hours to make it working for curtain control. What commands should be used in italian? No clue in the very poor “manual” which amounts to few
Iines very obscure. A lot of improvement is needed for a product in a industrial environmemt.

I purchased a bunch of this light switches and tried them with the standard firmware and also with ESPHome. I found that the touch panel is not as responsive at it should be regardless of the firmware. With ESPHome you can change the intensity and the colour of the night light, but this should be a feature in the standard firmware, as the intensity by default is pretty bright.

Each switch comes with 2 screws, but the heads are too big for the openings of the switches, making it very hard to install them.

Also, in a switch of this calibre, you'd expect a dimming functionality, but this is nowhere to be found regardless of the firmware you use.

Overall, this is an average light switch, and Sonoff is trying to sell it as a top tier device... Not even close... There's a long road to walk for Sonoff to make these switches as good as they say they are...
