Power hungry?

Just bought one of these. My sauna control panel uses 5V so I thought this would be perfect to be able to trigger the on/off button remotely. But the power provided to the sauna control panel dropped well below 5V when I connected this relay module, so that didn't work. Many of my other things I got connected to home assistant (mainly zigbee stuff like buttons, motion sensors etc) run on battery that lasts at least a year. Would be nice if there were a battery version of this.

Now the RE5V1C, which is DC 5V connected, we don't have the battery version, sorry for the inconvenience. You can tell us your details of the battery version type, so we can forward them to our technical department to check

Working good but can be inproved

I like this little electronics for my DIY projects. It works simple and stabile. I wish it would have a NO/COM/NC relay instead and a solder pad for external push button. It would be an advance if the operating button would be the same side as the relay housing.
I am dremaing about 😉 great projects with possible updated wifi/ZigBee version of it, including switch and push button handling and with 3 volt DC AA/AAA battery power.

Work perfectly.

Works as advertised. The size is excellent to fit everywhere. But you need to know something about soldering and multimeters to install it. I used it to open my garage door.

Simple small device, easy to connect and set up. I use one in inch mode to remotely start my Desktop PC so that I can access it with my Laptop when away from home. I use another in inch mode to activate a 12volt lock that opens a small safe.
These were replacements for Arduino UNOs that did the same job with a lot more complications and needed programming.
The pictures below show the complicated Arduino setup compared to the so simple Sonoff that achieves the same result.
