SONOFF NSPanel Smart Scene Wall Switch(86/EU Type/120 Type)

The built quality is good and it does preaty much what I expected. However the interface could be improved, like why it has a microphone when there is no way to utilize it? I would like to set my own wallpaper instead of just 2 presets, the power saving mode could display just the time and temperature on a black screen, because the screen is not too dim during the night. Also it would be perfect if the next version would work over zigbee.

Delivery quick and with a tracking number. The white version fits into a modern interior even more nicely than gunmetal gray!

Delivery to australia was quick. setup fairly straight forward. But when i begain configuration with Home Assistant and then agreed to update the firm ware, I got "system data error" on screen and the device ceased being findable on the network. ended up buying an additional serial to usb converter and flashing 3rd party software.... good news is i've acquired new skills I suppose

I installed this and it was working well. Then I clicked to update the firmware and now the screen is just blank. I have tried updating the fw at least 20 times, including using another phone as a hot spot. Still cant get the screen to work. I have sent several emails to sonoff but it takes about a week for them to respond. The device is really neat looking...now if it would just work. I have been dealing with this now for two months.

I wish that the thermostat can be operated by Alexa and /or Smartthings. But the software isn't ready yet. I actually put 2 Sonoff WiFi plugs in line to achieve this. The 1st one is turned on off by the second NSPanel, Smartthings or Alexa. The second one it operated by the NSPanel thermostat. Now I have a workaround for missing software capability and my wife is happy.

I like the NSPanel, it looks nice. It installed quickly but the documentation on how to take the screen of the base is unclear. The wire pockets are short so I had to trim my wires. The software installed and connected quickly.
The buttons work quickly and connect well to the Alexa ecosystem. They are very access able in the app.
The thermostat does its job.
I don't like the user experience of the thermostat. Changing the temperature on the panel itself on the manual mode isn't responsive as well are turning it on and off. Turning the thermostat on / off through the app takes toooooo many clicks. I can't even change the temperature well in auto mode. It would be nice to use one of the buttons the turn the thermostat on / off.
The thermostat doesn't have any integration into the Alexa ecosystem.
The NSPanel doesn't show up in the Smartthings ecosystem at all.

Only the ntc for temperature measuring was not exact, so I asked ITEAD for technical details, but get no answer.

The touch has a little delay but overall the panel does exactly what it suposed to do. I m verry happy with my purchese

I love the functionality and the performance. I have had this in my bedroom for about a month and already I’m depending on it. I have the US one set up in portrait mode. Where it could be improved is based on its form factor/physical size.

If you mount it in place of a single light switch, it’s a little bigger but that doesn’t matter. Now, it has TWO electric relays so it can control 2 switches. None of the single-sized light switches in my house have 2 things wired to them. So in one room it took the place of a single switch, and one electrical relay is unused.

In my other room I replaced 2 light switches. I love it. But it doesn’t fill the hole in the wall where 2 light switches used to be. So that leaves me with a bit of a cosmetic problem. I want it to look neat and I haven’t figured out how yet.

But functionality-wise, it’s great! I might buy more.

I use with Home Assistant with a custom firmware for MQTT. Works great and easy to flash.
