5.0” Nextion Intelligent Series HMI Touch Display with enclosure

This 5" screen has the same 800x600 resolution as the larger 7" which gives it more resolutions (dots per inch)... a sharper image. The bezel makes mounting into a panel a breeze and it looks awesome. Programming the interface is easy once you understand how things are laid out and the custom functions. Get a good graphics editing application to create awesome looking pages, menus, buttons, etc. PNG transparency works great.
Getting to the SD card could be difficult or almost impossible depending on how you mount the screen. Might want to try a micro SD card extender if you need to access it often. UART serial communications with an Arduino works flawlessly. RTC (internal time keeping) works fine once you get the odd-sized CR1220 battery installed by removing the back cover.

All in all, probably the easiest and fastest solution for creating a very nice, functional and professional HMI for any project.

SD card does not latch, keeps popping out. I understand things fail from time to time however support to get a return is virtually non existing. After you file an issue, it takes 3-4 days for someone to get back to you. you respond with answers and it takes another 3-4 days for a follow up response. Very disappointing in todays world. One day delay is understandable but 3-4 days?

I use the nextion inteligent for my project, i add the expansion i/o card and there is enough to be able to use the nextion in a stand alone fashion.

This was my first Nextion screen. It was a challenge to learn new language and procedures. Made much use of Youtube and searching.
Used a consultant ... Damian... built my knowledge ... had a great time learning and watching my ideas convert into action.
So many options that a newbie can get discouraged.

Scherm werkt naar behoren. Makkelijk te programmeren. Je moet er niet te schuin op kijken want dan wordt het donker en de kleuren veranderen. Als je normaal recht op het scherm kijkt ziet het er geweldig uit.
